When we started InContext in 2009, our mission was to help brands and retailers stay innovative in a competitive space, and that remains the same today. Innovation is also a part of our core values…it requires the understanding that change is constant, necessary, and welcome. All voices are heard, speaking up is encouraged, and we learn from past experiences.
These are values that we hold true as individuals and at the organizational level. That’s why we take diversity, equity and inclusion seriously at InContext. Internally, we have been working on broadening our scope of DEI initiatives, but we thought it would be worthwhile to share some of the work we’ve been doing to ensure our employees—and our clients and partners—feel welcome and seen.
In honor of Pride month in June, we celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community with a virtual pride parade, along with educational events and discussions focused on related issues. With our team members located throughout the country, and the world, our annual virtual pride parade allows us to gather, listen, and share experiences.
We’ve heard presentations on topics including the Stonewall Riots, the transgender community, and lessons on pronouns.
Being the leaders in cutting-edge virtual retail technology means learning and evolving to meet the needs of today. The same can be said for DEI. Growth in anything involves opening your mind to new ideas, and here at InContext, we’re proud to say that we are committed to a culture of inclusivity, equitable opportunities, and a safe space where all are welcome. Happy Pride everyone!
